Youth Policy Forum: Bridging the Digital Safety Gap and Shaping Policy for Tomorrow

Join us for a three-day hybrid event on April 25–27, 2025—both in person at the Ortona Arts Hub in Edmonton, Alberta and virtually via Zoom—where youth, policymakers, and community leaders come together to tackle pressing digital safety issues.

Event Highlights:

  • Policy & Legislative Engagement:
    Gain insights into the legislative process with a focus on Bill C-63. Hear from Senators and policy experts about the current challenges and the critical role of youth engagement in shaping laws that address online harms.


  • Diverse Panels & Workshops:
    Engage with experts on topics ranging from creating safer online gaming spaces and navigating misinformation/disinformation to confronting sexual exploitation online. Participate in interactive workshops designed to build digital literacy and critical thinking skills.


  • Youth-Led Dialogue & Creative Expression:
    Experience innovative sessions like Playback Theatre, where storytelling and movement empower youth voices. These sessions provide a unique platform for reflecting on digital safety, social justice, and the intersection of online and offline experiences.


  • Networking & Community Building:
    Benefit from experiential activities, discussion spaces, and informal community gatherings designed to foster collaboration and inspire collective action towards a safer digital future.
