Please join us for a creative and immersive evening in street art! Dinner will be provided

Learn about the long history of drawing on the walls - cave art, graffiti, street art, and how it is also connected to the history of activism and protest. Then, learn hands-on about how stylized lettering can help add context and meaning to any message, including graffiti or protest signage. Make some change-inspired art of your own with materials also used for graffiti and street art!

Throughout 2020 and 2021, Roots4Change youth led a community based research project to highlight the human rights issues affecting young people in Edmonton. During this session, we will work with graffiti artist AJA Louden to reflect on the high level themes and calls to action for the city on youth rights and create art that speaks to the issues. Join us for a fun evening of learning, creating and connecting.
