Stride Advocate Training: LGBTQ+ Awareness

This workshop will help participants build a foundational understanding of LGBTQ+ identities and provide hands-on opportunities to develop allyship skills. We will begin with an overview of LGBTQ+ terminology and concepts. Next, we will cover the importance of inclusive, gender-neutral language and have an opportunity to practice using a variety of pronouns. Finally, we will have an open discussion on how we can apply the concepts covered in this workshop to creating an LGBTQ+ affirming space in Stride Community Workshops.
