Broadcast and Outreach Coordinator

Hourly Wage Rate: $18.00

Number of Weeks: 8

Number of Hours per Week: 30.00

Anticipated Start Date: June 15, 2020

Tasks and Responsibilities:

The Broadcast and Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Arts Lead at the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights to support YEG DIGNITY.

YEG DIGNITY will need someone who can provide technical support and editing assistance (as needed), while also transitioning audio content into a podcast platform(s). This position will support the efforts under the YEG DIGNITY campaign, which we are working to create important and eye-opening conversations related to dignity during a pandemic while breaking down stereotypes faced by communities experiencing poverty.

According to Canada Summer Jobs Funding, to be eligible, youth must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment*

  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment**; and,

  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
