Invitation to Facilitators
The Action Alberta: Communities Responding to Hate project invites individuals with a passion to strengthen community relations, create communities of understanding and acceptance, and strengthen our collective response to hate, racism and discrimination to join us to help facilitate dialogues with stakeholders.
Action Alberta will facilitate regional dialogues in Alberta starting in the fall. We are looking for a team of facilitators willing to work with us to facilitate these dialogues online via zoom. Six training sessions (3 hours each) will be held May - August 2021 to prepare the facilitators and we will then work in teams to bring together communities.
This is an opportunity to gain skills in anti-oppression, anti-racism, circle facilitation, hate crime legislation, human rights and community organizing.
To apply to be an Action Alberta facilitator, please fill out the following form.
Action Alberta is a collaboration of the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee, John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights, REACH Edmonton and local partners with the support of the Government of Canada.
