Lethbridge in person training: Human Rights Advocacy

Join Stride Advocates for a five day training series administered by the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights (JHC) where you will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning to strengthen your capacity to monitor, document and advocate on human rights issues as well as promote remedy, healing, and justice. 

During these three days, there will be options for both workshops open to the public and a hands on applied advocate training series with a certificate upon completion.

Who is this for?

  • Community agency workers who want to be able to better support the community.

  • Community members and leaders in community who are advocating and supporting community members.

  • People experiencing human rights violations who want to learn how to self advocate and push forward on their concerns.

  • People wanting to contribute to their community and provide their time to support human rights issues.

The Sessions:

APPLIED ADVOCATE TRAINING SERIES

The Skills Training will provide you with the theoretical and practical skills to document and report human rights issues as well as how to create space for collective advocacy. Upon completion you will have receive a certificate as a Stride Advocate.
