YEG Dignity Mural 50/50 Raffle Fundraiser
The YEGDignity Mural Project is led by artists diverse in gender, race, sexuality and ability, working to transform the pedway that links Edmonton’s City Centre Mall and Churchill LRT. This pedway is a space in need of vibrancy and love and the John Humphrey Centre is proud to be working alongside lead artist Carla Rae Taylor and others to create a space that is welcoming, vibrant and inclusive of all.
Help us to raise the funds needed to cover the cost of art supplies, artist honoraria and other costs such as installation. While Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) has contributed $30,000 to kick this effort off, a mural of this size and scope needs additional resources to create an impact and come to full fruition. Artists are in the process of painting panels which will be prepped for installation early in June.
JHC has been proud to be part of a project that showcases local artists and the work that comes forth when we come together to create connections and act in solidarity. We are excited to launch the mural officially on Multiculturalism Day on June 27 2023. Help us meet this target!
