In this episode of the Rhizome Podcast, we talk with Ganiyat Sadiq (she/her) on being a Black Muslim woman in Alberta. Ganiyat is a research and policy professional with a specialization in the intersectionality of the experiences of Black Muslim Women. As the founder of the IamX movement, @HMS2C (How Many Steps 2 Colonialism) and the president of @blackinclusionassociation in Alberta, Ganiyat chats with us about representation for Black students, miseducation, and celebrating Black excellence. Currently, Ganiyat is a fourth year student in the Honours Political Science Program and the International Relations Program at the University of Calgary.
