Roundtable and network gathering on hate crimes affecting victims and survivors in Alberta

In honour of Victims and Survivors of Crime Week, the John Humphrey Centre for Peace and Human Rights (JHC) is pleased to invite you to a virtual roundtable and network gathering taking place online on November 20, 2021 from 1-3 pm via Zoom.

In this gathering, we to have participants consisting of lawyers, legal professionals, law students, members from the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee, and select non-profit organizations from Alberta in order to strengthen a community of legal practice to support victims and survivors of crime.

We recognizes that there is a need to build a strong provincial legal network that can be accessed to provide legal guidance and assistance on hate-related crimes within our province. We hope to strengthen the connection and practice of the legal community in supporting victims and survivors of hate-related crimes, as well as to create a network of lawyers and legal professionals such as yourself willing to to work on hate-related cases in the future.
